The Books of Bravery library is a great way to incorporate Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) programming into your community. Each book has been carefully curated by members of the Project Brave program development team and include helpful questions for engaging children in meaningful conversations about empathy, courage, kindness, and many other important relationship skills. We are also in the process of developing a bilingual library with a focus on adding 12 Spanish language books to the program. This is a critical step in reaching members of the Latino community for whom English is a secondary language
Currently we are donating the entire library of 24 books, along with a display, to area schools in San Antonio and neighboring communities. See a list of current locations here: Books of Bravery Locations
For a $450 contribution to Project Brave, you can personally sponsor a library to a location of your choosing. This can be a school, office, daycare, waiting room, or any setting where children would be able to interact with the books. Your sponsorship includes a full library with an engraved plate recognizing the business, organization, or family name of your choice, as well as a $100 financial contribution to Project Brave.
